Parminderjit Rull is a purchasing officer at Conestoga College, but before she got that job, she was a student in Conestoga College’s Academic Upgrading program. Originally from India, Parminderjit came to Canada when she was 18 years old. She worked in a manufacturing plant when she first arrived in Canada, but soon asked her boss if there were any courses she could take to advance her career. She applied to Conestoga College for the Material and Operation Management Program and was rejected initially. She was told to take upgrading courses in English and Math. Parmanderjit took academic upgrading and was successful. She was accepted into the program the second time and is now very happy in her new role at Conestoga College.
