On April 14th, over $70,000 in awards and scholarships were presented to students in the School of Business and Hospitality during the 22nd annual Awards Gala – "An evening of S.T.A.R.S" – Striving To Achieve Recognition & Success.
400 students, family members, faculty and industry filled the Grand Ballroom at Bingeman’s for this celebration. Congratulations to the many award recipients and nominees for their achievements this past year, and thank you to the industry partners and donors for their contributions to student success.
The gala was organized by a student team in the Event Management, Graduate Certificate program as part of their final applied project. Students were able to apply skills learned in classes to planning and coordinating a live event.
The Business and Hospitality School is one of the premiere applied business schools in Ontario with approximately 2,500 full-time students. Here students have a choice of programs to fit most areas of business today, comprising of one year certificates, two and three-year diplomas, as well as post-graduate certificates and 4-yr degree opportunities.
