Streamlined Research Ethics Process Announced

Conestoga College ITAL's Research Ethics Board is pleased to announce two new processes designed to facilitate the ethics review of proposed research projects.

First, Conestoga has joined with McMaster University and Mohawk College to create a coordinated review (MMC-CR) for health sciences research that involves participants at two or more of these institutions.

Second, if researchers who wish to conduct research at the College have already received ethics approval from another REB, they no longer need to complete the CCITAL REB application form. Instead, all documents that were submitted to and approved by another REB may be submitted for review by the College's REB.

If you would like further information about either of these new processes or about any other aspect of research ethics, please contact Jane McDonald, Chair, CCITAL Research Ethics Board, at extension 3912 or jmcdonald@conestogac.on.ca or visit the REB.
