More Flexibility in PSW Program

Personal Support Worker Program

Conestoga has redesigned its Personal Support Worker (PSW) program to be more flexible to meet the needs of our potential students and employers. The program is shorter at only 707 hours and can be completed in just over 7 months. Programs can be offered days, evenings, one to four days per week for full-time or part-time students. There are opportunities for course exemptions for those who have taken previous related programs (i.e Health Care Aid).

The Personal Support Worker program is a great opportunity for new Canadians or individuals looking for a new career or career change in the field of Health Care. Some individuals may qualify for Skill Development government funding (See our Second Career webpage for further information).

Fee payment options are available and some students may be eligible for bursaries.

The next program offerings are:

Full-time and Part-time (4 days per week) -

Doon Campus: January 5, 2009 to July 31, 2009 and September 2009 to March 2010.

Part-time only (2 days per week or two evenings per week) -

Doon and Stratford campuses: April 2009
