United Way Goal Reaches 100%

It's that time of year again! With autumn, cooler weather, and Christmas fast approaching, Conestoga College has once again kicked off its annual United Way campaign. We, as a college community, have been a long time supporter of this fundraising initiative in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. Our college could not run without the support of the community and supporting the United Way, is our way of giving back to our community.

The United Way provides much needed monetary support for numerous non-profit organizations, such as Canadian Red Cross, Ontario March of Dimes, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, YWCA, The Literacy Group of Waterloo Region and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

To help us reach our goal of $45,000, the committee has planned the following activities:

  • Lasagna lunches at our Doon, Guelph, and Waterloo campuses
  • Tea for $3 will take place on October 30 in the Guild Room, Doon campus
  • Cookbooks created with recipes submissions from College employees are for sale at various locations and in the HR office for $5.00

And of course, the annual pledge/donation drive. With a simple payroll deduction, you can help the United Way to SEE CHANGE. To thank our employees for their generous donations, the committee has some great prizes lined up!

  • Leafs tickets donated by the Alumni Association
  • an overnight stay at the Delta Chelsea, Toronto
  • an office chair donated by Corporate express
  • dinner at the Conestoga Room, Waterloo campus
  • CN Tower passes
  • AND MORE!!

Please help to support the United Way. Without you, there is no way!
