Valve Automation works with small, medium and larger clients to provide customized products and on site service. Distribution covers refineries, petrochemical markets and gas transmission. Companies they have worked with include Union Gas, Dofasco, Stelco and INCO. Valve Automation offers an exclusive line of valve automation products including EL-O-Matic, Bettis pneumatic and electric actuators and a complete line of valve products are available.

Don Haennel, President and General Manager says "Valve Automation is a service driven company providing high end, top quality customized products". What makes Valve Automation unique is the ability to deliver in a quick period of time with faster turn around than the competition. Don also states "Our success is due to the service committed employees dedicated to achieving our promised delivery dates."

Training of their employees is one of the components to the success of this company. The up-to-date instruction that they receive allows Valve Automation to stay current with the changing machining practices in the manufacturing sector. This in-turn enables the company to safely increase production, reduce operating costs and provide them with the competitive edge so needed in the ever-evolving market.

When asked "Why did you choose Conestoga College for your training?" Don replied "it was best geared for what we were looking for. We looked at other programs running on weeknights and evenings but those timelines didn’t fit in with our schedule. Conestoga’s Corporate Training was able to customize the material and incorporate it into our timetable. It fit into our company's safety practices and was very hands-on rather than just theory training. It helped to have the instructor come and meet us and find out what we did prior to the training. He really knew his stuff and was able to work closely with us. We refer to the detailed training manuals we received on a regular basis".
