New Masonry Fundamentals Program

Conestoga College is pleased to be able to offer a Masonry Fundamentals program, set to launch in May of this year. This 16 week certificate program is designed to give students the opportunity to complete some academic upgrading while giving entry level exposure and knowledge to the Brick & Stone Mason trade. This program will be run out of our Waterloo campus, and the class size is limited to 18 students. Tuition for this certificate program is $5,282.40. Students must have a minimum of 16 high school credits in order to apply.

Please note that there is no application fee required to apply to this program. Students are required to demonstrate the same attention to punctuality and attendance as would be expected by the industry in which they expect to be employed.

The courses that will be delivered in this program are: academic upgrading (math and communications), Masonry Safety (workplace construction safety, WHIMIS, Fall arrest and propane in construction), Carpentry Tools and Equipment (theory and shop), Job Readiness, Masonry Practice and Masonry Theory.
