Students, Staff and Faculty at Conestoga College are very proud of Tim
who entered the “MuchMusic VJ Search: The
Series” while he was a student in the Woodworking Technician program
at Conestoga College.
Although he had to give up his career path in woodworking he has moved
on to another passion. "I went from being a MuchMusic fan to being
a VJ" said Deegan about being crowned. "It's honestly a dream
come true. I just scored the best job in Canada and knowing it was fans
that voted me in makes it that much sweeter."
Since 1995, Tim Deegan is the fifth VJ to be crowned through MuchMusic's
VJ Search.
We caught up with Tim during his jammed packed schedule completing media
interviews and asked him how he is feeling. Tim responded with "absolutely
amazing and great"!!
When Tim heard his name as being crowned the newest VJ, "I felt relief
and disbelief"!
Tim’s official start date at MuchMusic will be April 24, 2006.
He does not know when he will be on air but we are hoping VERY soon! He
will prepare for his new role by reading up on music, artists and bands.
As well, Tim will pack up from Kitchener and Oshawa and relocate to Toronto.
