Job Fair: Where the Action Will Be for College and University Students

Students and alumni of Conestoga College and the three local universities - Guelph, Laurier and Waterloo - will have an exclusive opportunity to present themselves as outstanding candidates for employment to representatives of firms who now have or soon will have job openings, at the University/College Job Fair on Wednesday, February 4 at RIM Park in Waterloo.

More than 130 employers are registered for the event. Their participation indicates that they will have employment opportunities available within the next six months.

Admission is free to anyone with a valid, current student or alumni ID from any of the four participating postsecondary institutions. Job Fair hours are 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Among the employers represented will be Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, Clarica, ClubLink Corporation, COM DEV, Future Shop, GoodLife Fitness Centres, ING Canada, Linamar Corporation, London Health Sciences Centre, the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, RBC Financial Group, Research In Motion, Staples Business Depot, the Toronto Police Service and Toyota Canada Incorporated.

Several thousand students will be graduating in 2004 from these institutions, so a large attendance is expected.
