Conestoga Teams with Canadian Management Centre to Offer Seminars

This fall, Conestoga College will join with the Toronto-based Canadian Management Centre to bring leading-edge management training seminars to midwestern Ontario.

The Canadian Management Centre has a record of more than 40 years of providing training for the real world, with effective, productive educational experiences in management training at all levels. More than 150,000 people have benefited from these activities, which focus on knowledge and skills for effective workplace performance and organizational advancement in today's globally competitive business environment.

To launch this partnership, Conestoga will offer three intensive Canadian Management Centre seminars this fall at the Doon campus in Kitchener.

Managing Technical Professionals is a three-day workshop, from October 1-3. The focus is on ways to improve efficiency and productivity among project teams, work groups and task forces in a technical environment. A key element is gaining an understanding of the skills and motivational factors of technical professionals, and using these to shape a dynamic team that understands and advances organizational business goals.

Managing Chaos: Practical Tools and Techniques is a two-day workshop on November 10-11. Competing demands, shifting priorities and changing situations can test the mettle of any manager, team or organization. This seminar will focus on practical techniques for making structured decisions, even in the most pressure-packed environments.

Effective Recruiting, Selecting and Behavioural Interviewing has the dual aim of enhancing the value and reliability of hiring interviews as well as using behaviour-focused interview strategies to recruit a stronger, more effective employee team. This two-day workshop is on November 13-14.

Canadian Management Centre seminars are taught by management and consulting professionals noted for their business achievements and their instructional and leadership skills. The cost for these seminars ranges from $1,490-1,920 per participant, but these seminars come with the proven excellence, immediate practicality and hands-on approach on which the Canadian Management Centre has built its success and reputation.
