Conestoga is accepting applications for the new tuition-free Pre-apprenticeship Introduction to Construction Trades training program.
The program will prepare students for in-demand construction trades careers and provide a head start for those wishing to start a career or achieve apprenticeship certification.
Beginning July 3, 2023, the full-time Pre-apprenticeship Introduction to Construction Trades program will offer a blend of theory delivery with shop classes at the college's Brantford campus at the Brantford Municipal Airport location over the course of 28 weeks. The program will include theory and shop exposure to four trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing and welding) and features an additional eight-week practical work placement experience.
Enrolment is limited to 18 spaces. Interested candidates are required to attend an information session.
