Welder Pre-Apprenticeship Program Information Session

Conestoga College is accepting applications for our tuition-free Pre-Apprenticeship Training programs.

Funded by the Government of Canada, Conestoga will offer two Welder/ Metal Fabricator Pre-Apprenticeship programs that will prepare students for in-demand careers and will provide a head start for those wishing to achieve apprenticeship certification.

Starting in June 2021, the full-time Pre-Apprenticeship Welder/ Metal Fabricator program will offer a blend of online theory delivery with shop classes at Conestoga's Waterloo campus over the course of 25 weeks. An additional program will start in July 2021 and will offer a blend of online theory delivery with shop classes at Conestoga’s Brantford Aviation campus over the course of 22 weeks.

The Welder Pre-Apprenticeship program includes multiple trade exposure with Welder and Metal Fabricator, common core Level 1 apprenticeship in-class training and features an additional eight-week practical work placement experience.

Enrolment is limited and interested candidates are required to attend an information session.

Additional sessions take place on April 14April 22April 28May 12May 20 and May 26.
