Honouring the children

June 21, 2021 | 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | Kitchener - Doon Campus

Conestoga's Aboriginal Services (Be-Dah-Bin Gamik) and Conestoga Students Inc. will host a sacred fire gathering in honour of the lives of children uncovered in mass graves at former residential schools. 

The fire will be lit at the Indigenous Studies Teaching Garden. Medicines will be available. 

Numbers will be limited at a time to comply with outdoor gathering public health measures. Attendees will be asked to remain in their vehicles until space becomes available. Masks and social distancing will be required. 

Location:

Conestoga College, Kitchener - Doon campus, 299 Doon Valley Drive, Indigenous Studies Teaching Garden (located in an outdoor space by the southeast corner of the A-wing of the main building)

Please park in lot 5, free of charge.
