In celebration of the International Day of the Woman, the School of Trades & Apprenticeship will host a series of virtual Talk2WomenInTrades sessions.
Sessions will feature upper year women apprentices to share their stories and experiences of being a woman working within the skilled trades.
Conversations will centre around the apprentice's unique stories including how they decided to get into skilled trades and the pathway they followed to get there, an overview of the specific trade and job opportunities they have held while completing their apprenticeship. Guest speakers will answer questions and provide information for women attendees that are interested in exploring a career in skilled trades.
This session will feature guest speaker Ashley Stirbys-Boshcoff - Millwright Apprentice.
Additional events will take place on March 9, March 23 and April 6.
