Attend a virtual orientation event to learn more about free online training through the free Long-Term Care (LTC) Home Assistant program and a career in healthcare.
The program provides five weeks of part-time training (20 hours per week).
Topics include,
- communication strategies in LTC,
- housekeeping skills,
- dining room service techniques, and
- infection prevention and control, including PPE.
Candidates will earn a Food Safety certification and a placement opportunity within a long-term care home, leading to employment.
