4x4 Challenge 2020 Launch

March 3, 2020

Waterloo Campus

This event kicks off the 2020 4x4 Challenge -- a hackathon where Conestoga students from all programs are invited to flex their design skills and compete for prizes to find solutions to real-world industry challenges.

Working in teams or as individuals, students will have four days (March 3-6) to design and implement solutions to real-world problems through innovation, showcasing them at the 4x4 Challenge 2020 Showcase

The 2020 4x4 Challenge theme is Sustainable and Digital Tourism. Tourism is growing, and along with that are environmental and sustainability issues such as overtourism. Many people are unable to afford to visit famous places due to cost or accessibility issues. There are festivals and events that need better solutions for promotion to draw more tourists. Developing nations may look at sustainable tourism as a means of providing livelihoods and opportunities for their citizens. What can you do to solve these problems?

Time:

9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Location:

Conestoga College, Waterloo campus, 108 University Avenue, Waterloo Main Building, Room 1F05
