The Schlegel Centre for Advancing Seniors Care will present "Implementing Best Practice Guidelines into Health and Social Service Curriculum” by Linda Sheiban Taucar.
In 2018, Conestoga received funding from the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario to work towards achieving Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) status. The plan is to integrate five Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs) into nursing and social service curricula.
As one of the few educational institutes striving towards BPSO status, it is integral to understand barriers of integrating BPGs into curricula in order to optimize implementation. Ms. Sheiban Taucar received an Advanced Clinical Practice Fellowship to explore the experiences of college faculty and staff integrating BPGs into curricula. This World Café will shed light on these experiences and provide insight on how to ensure a seamless integration of BPGs.
