Grand Innovations
This annual showcase will feature competing projects in the 2019 4x4 Challenge -- a hackathon where Conestoga students from all programs were invited to flex their design skills to find solutions to real-world industry challenges.
Students will showcase the solutions they've designed over the four-day challenge around this year's theme: Smart Waterloo Region -- Solutions for Healthy Children and Youth. The region has been short-listed in the national Smart Cities Challenge in the $50 million prize category. Participants were asked to design possible solutions to help the region address the needs of children and youth, and help propel the region towards winning the Smart Cities Challenge.
The 4x4 Challenge 2019 Showcase includes a networking luncheon with refreshments prior to the showcase portion of the event. Participating students, faculty mentors and industry visitors/judges are welcome to attend.
The showcase portion of the event is open to the public.
