The International Office is running daily information sessions to discuss student questions and concerns about the current Faculty Strike. Please feel free to attend any of the information sessions to get more information about how the strike affects you.
Topics covered will include:
- International Student work eligibility during the strike - Students should not change their off-campus working hours during the strike.
- Course assignments and due dates - All due dates are postponed until after the strike has been resolved. You can delay submitting assignments until a new due date is set. In the meantime, you will continue to have access to course materials through eConestoga and may take advantage of college resources and services to continue preparing your assignments. Have your assignments ready for submission if possible.
- Course tests and exams - All assessments will be postponed until after the strike has been resolved. You will continue to have access to course materials through eConestoga and may take advantage of college resources and services to continue your studies independently and prepare for the resumption of classes.
- On-campus services that remain available - Most on-campus services will continue to operate. For the latest information and updates, visit Services available during faculty strike on the Conestoga website.
- Work placements - Most field placements and co-op work placements and related activities will continue.
- Study Permits, Work Permits, and Visas - The strike should not affect your ability to extend your permits and visas.
- Question and Answer - We will do our best to answer any other questions you may have.
