Join Conestoga College Aboriginal Services in celebrating Aboriginal culture at the 2017 National Aboriginal Day Celebration.
Morning workshops include
- Smudging Ceremony,
- Raising the Tipi, and
- Traditional Foods & Preparation.
Lunch includes a fish fry, bannock and berries, and cedar tea. Please RSVP.
Afternoon workshops include
- Truth & Reconciliation with guest speakers, Elders Arnold Albert and Lyla Bruyere,
- Medicine Teachings, and
- The Haldimand Tract: A return to the land of the Dish with One Spoon with guest speaker George Lahya:tu'he Kennedy PhD (c).
Event will take place rain or shine -- please dress accordingly.
Time:
Morning workshops: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Lunch: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Afternoon workshops: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
