Brick Works Academy Summer Camps

July 6 - August 21, 2015

Cambridge, Waterloo & Guelph

The Brick Works Academy, in partnership with Conestoga, will be hosting a series of summer camps for students ages 6 to 14.

This year's camps are:

Sr. Lego Robotics

This camp is appropriate for any level of Lego robot designer from the complete novice to a seasoned expert. We will divide into groups and master design, construction, and programming of our robots. This summer we have exciting new challenge tables and walled mazes!

This camp is for ages 9 to 14.

All Locations: Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge

Jr. Lego Robotics

A simpler robotic system for our younger campers. Here our students will learn to build and programme robots and machines using gears, pulleys, motors and computers.

This camp is for ages 6, 7 & 8

All Locations: Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge

Minecraft Computer Camp

While your child thinks they are playing we are secretly using the game to teach, technology, design, problem solving and presentation skills. In this camp the focus is everything Minecraft. Minecraft is a great virtual sandbox where anything can be built! Minecraft topics that will be covered include; the basics, redstone Minecraft machine building, Designing new texture images to change the entire look of your worlds. You will also be learning how to author your own Minecraft tutorials for Youtube.

This camp is for ages 8 to 14

Lego Castle Builder Camp

Lego Castle Builders will be one of our new camps offered this summer. It will focus on Medieval themes. Students will build giant lego castles, trebuchet, catapults, and play armour while learning about life in the royal court. We will also be getting the dice out and playing Dungeons and Dragons style adventure games with our lego.

Ages 7 to 12

Locations: Waterloo & Cambridge

Time:

Camp: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Drop-off: 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM

Pick-up: 4:30 AM - 5:00 PM

*Extended care is available from 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Waterloo (July): Kitchener/Waterloo Bilingual School, 600 Erb St. West
