NATIONAL DAY OF REMEMBRANCE AND ACTION ON VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
On December 6, 1989, fourteen female engineering students were murdered in the Montreal Massacre at Ecole Polytechnique. December 6 has been proclaimed the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women by the Canadian Government and commemorative events occur annually across Canada to remember the women killed and to continue action to end violence in all its forms.
Conestoga College will honour these women and all women who have be killed, abused and inflicted at the hands of abuse with a moment of silence on the school day closest to or on December 6th. Please see Security Services for more details.
